Calling all Sweets Loving Arizonans Part 1

Oooh my goodness.  Arizona may seem awfully boring, or at least that’s how I thought of it for the longest time, but if you look close enough, Arizona is filled with locally owned sweet food shops that are a must-go to!

  1. Glacier Snow Sweets and Treats

    • Address: 2080 N Dobson Rd #4, Chandler, AZ 85224

Surprise! When you ask me to order something… mango is always my go-to. This pile of orange snow is called the Mango Ice Berg; it’s layered with Captain Crunch cereal (trust me, it sounded weird at first, but boy was it delicious), mochi, and strawberries, and condensed milk! If you’re looking for something not too sweet, but will still hit the spot… mmmm then this is the one.

Halo Halo is also a must try! It’s a cold drink with blended red beans, jellies, and ice, layered with a spoon full of taro ice cream. It’s a refreshing drink from the Philippines!

  2. Fluff It Marshmallows

Address: 1034 N Gilbert Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85234

Okay, not going to lie, these are some sweet sweet desserts! If you’re totally into s’mores, then this is your go-to! With a whole list of marshmallow flavors and toppings, you really can’t go wrong!

  3. Peterson’s Ice Cream and Cafe

Address: 366 N Gilbert Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85233

I am a HUGE fan of ice cream! Peterson’s does not have the biggest variety of ice cream and sorbet flavors, but the decoration and other treats make up for it! They have root bear floats and sundaes to name a few. The ice cream is not super sweet but is supppeeerrr creamy! Brownie points for this cafe right there! It’s definitely a must-try though- located in small yet lovely downtown Gilbert. This place is also surrounded by delicious smelling fancy schancy restaurants!
